케이프 – No. 2

케이프 are a half-German half-Korean lo-fi synthpop duo. Their EP No. 2 was self-released in 2012.

This is a more downtempo synthpop release, no busy-body dance beats and synths. As they say on their accounts on everything, “every note has its justification. there is no superfluous decoration. a bass, a rhythm, a melody. take a component away, the building collapses.” They use just what the need to make good synthpop and they do it very well. Also there are vocals in this, the Korean girl does the vocals. Her vocals (sung in a regular synthpop way) help give life to the songs. I like the synthpop singing style and it sounds really nice with the beats and melodies they have put together.
